The Architecture investigates humanizing a palliative care institution. The concept behind palliative care is to provide the best quality of life for the terminally ill by ensuring their relief and dignity. Ideas of habitation at the scale of the individual and at the scale of the community, can help bring back the sensitivity that institutions have lost. This project investigates architecture's potential to provide comfort and therapy through the use of scale and the personalization of space, materials, and its relationship to nature.
